Select the screen you want to share. Do not check this otherwise, as it may cause the shared screen to be blurry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>3. Click Share.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Zoom will automatically switch to full screen to optimize the shared screen view. To exit full-screen, click <strong>Exit Full Screen<\/strong> in the top-right corner or press the <strong>Esc<\/strong> key.<\/li>\n<li>To disable automatic full screen when viewing a shared screen, disable this option in your desktop client settings: <strong>Enter full screen automatically<\/strong> when a participant shares screen.<br \/>\nShare screen menu<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>4. When you start sharing your screen, the meeting controls will move into a menu that you can drag around your screen.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/engit\/files\/2020\/03\/screen-share-controls-636x96.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"636\" height=\"96\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1254\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/engit\/files\/2020\/03\/screen-share-controls-636x96.png 636w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/engit\/files\/2020\/03\/screen-share-controls.png 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 636px) 100vw, 636px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mute\/Unmute<\/strong>: Mute or unmute your microphone.<br \/>\n<strong>Start\/Stop Video<\/strong>: Start or stop your in-meeting video.<br \/>\n<strong>Participants\/Manage Participants<\/strong>: View or manage the participants (if the host).<br \/>\n<strong>New Share<\/strong>: Start a new screen share. You will be prompted to select which screen you want to share again.<br \/>\n<strong>Pause Share<\/strong>: Pause your current shared screen.<br \/>\n<strong>Annotate \/ Whiteboard<\/strong>: Display annotation tools for drawing, adding text, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>More<\/strong>: Hover over more for additional options.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/engit\/files\/2020\/03\/3screen-share-controls-more-menu.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"308\" height=\"431\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1368\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Chat<\/strong>: Open the chat window.<br \/>\n<strong>Invite<\/strong>: Invite others to join the meeting.<br \/>\n<strong>Record<\/strong>: Start recording locally or to the cloud.<br \/>\n<strong>Allow\/Disable participants annotation<\/strong>: Allow or prevent the participants from annotating on your shared screen.<br \/>\n<strong>Show\/Hide Names of Annotators<\/strong>: Show or hide the participants&#8217; name when they are annotating on a screen share. If set to show, the participant&#8217;s name will briefly display beside their annotation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>End Meeting<\/strong>: Leave the meeting or end the meeting for all participants.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Using dual monitors<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are using a dual monitor set-up, you can turn on the <strong>Use Dual Monitors<\/strong> feature to see the screen sharing on one monitor and participants on the second.<\/p>\n<p>Note: On <strong>Mac OS 10.15 Catalina<\/strong>, you need to allow Zoom access to screen recording to share your screen. You can do this in your<strong> System Preferences &gt; Security &amp; Privacy &gt; Privacy &gt; Screen Recording<\/strong>.
