Ryan collaborated with BU faculty to design <\/span>tools meant to enhance collaboration between state and local officials in Massachusetts, show progress toward clean energy goals, and help leaders identify communities that may need additional resources.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/eng\/files\/2025\/10\/Emily-Ryan-477x636-1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Emily Ryan\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-168553 size-thumbnail\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/eng\/files\/2025\/10\/Emily-Ryan-477x636-1-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/eng\/files\/2025\/10\/Emily-Ryan-477x636-1-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/eng\/files\/2025\/10\/Emily-Ryan-477x636-1-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/>The work was developed through the $5.7 million<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/igs\/research\/celt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Clean Energy and Environment Legacy Transition (CELT) Initiative<\/a>, a partnership between<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/igs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BU\u2019s Institute for Global Sustainability (IGS)<\/a>, the University of Massachusetts Lowell\u2019s Rist Institute for Sustainability and Energy, and the Healey-Driscoll Administration.
