Once he began his studies at the Boston University College of Engineering, he was able to flesh out the technological scaffolding of his story&#8217;s sci-fi devices, such as sentient robots and a time-travel watch. Now that Wachira (CGS\u201922, ENG\u201924) is about to graduate from BU with a degree in mechanical engineering, he has self-published a prequel novella and is hoping to publish the first full-length book of the series,\u00a0<em>Be Bold,<\/em> by 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Wachira&#8217;s novella, <em>The Lashe Contingent,<\/em> reached Amazon\u2019s top-20 list for books on time travel. On March 28, Wachira will host the annual CGS Art Show and Coffeehouse event, where he\u2019ll sign copies of <em>Lashe<\/em> and promote the series he envisions. The event takes place in the College of General Studies lobby, 871 Commonwealth Ave., from 3 to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Many grads would take this time to rest and recuperate. Not Wachira.
