His paper, \u201cFrequency Translating Add\/Drop Filters based on Electro-Optically Modulated Photonic Molecules,\u201d was presented at the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersinoptics.com\/home\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Frontiers in Optics and Laser Science<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> virtual conference on November 2, 2021. More information about the paper can be found <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurekalert.org\/news-releases\/932086\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gevorgyan is a member of Professor Milo\u0161 Popovi\u0107\u2019s lab, which was well-represented at the conference with five paper presentations. A fellow advisee, PhD candidate Josep M. Fargas Cabanillas, was also a finalist for the award with his paper, \u201cRapid Adiabatic 3 dB Coupler with 50\u00b11% Splitting Over 200 nm Including S, C and L Bands in 45 nm CMOS Platform\u201d (more information available <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurekalert.org\/news-releases\/931673\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/eng\/files\/2021\/11\/fio-logo.png\" alt=\"\" class=\" wp-image-112848 alignright\" width=\"191\" height=\"191\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/eng\/files\/2021\/11\/fio-logo.png 268w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/eng\/files\/2021\/11\/fio-logo-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/eng\/files\/2021\/11\/fio-logo-100x100.png 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 191px) 100vw, 191px\" \/>The Emil Wolf Outstanding Student Paper Award recognizes innovative student research and excellent conference presentation skill. Awards are given in six categories, and are accompanied by a $300 prize.
