combine semiconductor image-sensing technology with recent advances in materials engineering for light detection, nanophotonics for image acquisition, and machine learning for information retrieval.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why it matters<\/strong>: We are creating new imaging capabilities that can address increasingly demanding application needs for biomedical microscopy, surveillance,
