Get ready to register for classes<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Set up your BU email account. All your program, class and department communications will come through your BU email. If you have a BU email account, continue to use it.<\/li>\n
  2. Students who have accepted the offer of admission will receive an email from ithelp@bu.edu 24-48 hours after accepting the offer of admission. This email will have directions to set up BU email address and Kerberos password.<\/li>\n
  3. Contact your faculty advisor or academic program manager to discuss your course plan.<\/li>\n
  4. Register for your courses via MyBU Student Portal<\/a> based on the University calendar<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  5. Submit photo for your Terrier Card ID<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \nPlease RSVP for orientation       here<\/a> It is required that you attend orientation. \n<\/ol>\n

      Setting up BU compliance on MyBU Student Portal. Be sure to:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Update or input your phone number.<\/li>\n
      2. Update or input your local address.<\/li>\n
      3. Electronically sign the Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Law<\/a> acknowledgement form.<\/li>\n
      4. If you want to opt out of the Sports Pass<\/a>, cancel this pass. For individualized information regarding your Sports Pass, or to cancel your Sports Pass, visit the MyBU Student Portal<\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Health Insurance<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        1. Provide required immunizations and health records to Student Health Services<\/a>.<\/li>\n
        2. Select a health insurance option through MyBU Student Portal<\/a> or submit an opt out form with the required documents to Student Account Services<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Finding Housing around BU.<\/strong><\/p>\n

          1. Consider the neighborhoods around BU<\/a>.<\/li>\n
          2. Use this housing resources webpage<\/a>\u00a0to start your search.<\/li>\n
          3. Submit Graduate Housing Application<\/a> if needed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Financial Assistance<\/strong><\/p>\n

              \n
            1. Domestic Master’s students only. If you are interested in federal or private financial assistance, fill out your FAFSA and submit it to code: 002130. Connect with the Associate Director of Financial Aid<\/a> in the Graduate Programs Office.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              When you arrive on campus<\/strong><\/p>\n

                \n
              1. Turn in final official transcripts, to the Graduate Programs Office<\/a>. Sealed transcripts should show that your previous degrees have been conferred.<\/li>\n
              2. If you need a MBTA or parking pass apply for a pass through BU’s transportation webpage<\/a>.<\/li>\n
              3. Pick-up your Terrier Card<\/a> (your student ID).<\/li>\n
              4. Get a Student Associate of Graduate Engineering<\/a> (SAGE)<\/strong> sticker to attend SAGE events. Come to the Graduate Programs Office<\/a>, and bring your ID.<\/li>\n
              5. Explore BU’s campus! Get to know your way around. Use this map link<\/a> if you need help.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
