Twelve units must be unique to the minor and may not count toward the fulfillment of majors or additional minors. No more than 8 units can be used to satisfy the student\u2019s major degree program requirements.\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Students must take either ENG ME 306 or ENG BE 425 (4 units); both cannot be taken towards the minor.<\/li>\r\n<li>The remaining 16 units are to be selected from the elective courses listed below.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>Students are expected to obtain the necessary background (pre-requisites or equivalents) to complete their chosen minor program.<\/li>\r\n<li>A minimum 2.00 GPA is required in the courses used to satisfy the minor, with no grade less than a C\u2013.<\/li>\r\n<li>A student must be a Sophomore and have a declared major on record in order to apply for a minor.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<!-- \/wp:list --><\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<!-- \/wp:media-text -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:media-text {\"backgroundColor\":\"light-gray\",\"mediaPosition\":\"right\",\"mediaId\":125376,\"mediaLink\":\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/eng\/student-engagement-careers\/student-engagement\/club-banner-work-scaled\/\",\"mediaType\":\"image\",\"imageFill\":true} -->\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide has-media-on-the-right has-background has-light-gray-background-color is-stacked-on-mobile is-image-fill\">\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\" style=\"background-image: url('\/eng\/files\/2022\/09\/club-banner-work-scaled-1-1024x576.jpg'); Engineering.<\/li>\r\n<li><a href=\"\/eng\/files\/2026\/04\/Minor-in-MSE.pdf\">Applications<\/a>\u00a0for a Minor in Materials Science &amp; Engineering must be approved by the Minor Coordinator of the Division of Materials Science &amp;
