BTEC Scholar in Residence

As a BTEC Scholar in Residence, you will have the opportunity to help shape the future of biomedical engineering innovation and education for undergraduate students. In the process you will develop and enhance key skills that will set you apart from other engineering graduate students. Specifically, you will gain experience in mentoring and scientific communication and contribute to a more cohesive engineering community and build bridges with the local industry ecosystem.

Eligibility: Current BU ENG PhD students

Responsibilities/benefits of this one-year volunteer role include giving 1-2 short research or entrepreneurship talks to undergraduates/industry representatives, participating in 2-3 office hours for career/technical advising of undergraduates, and assisting with 1 BTEC workshop or mentoring a BTEC design competition team.

The Bioengineering Technology & Entrepreneurship Center (BTEC) at BU is a bioengineering makerspace designed to advance innovation and cutting-edge technologies identified in partnership with industry, from gene editing to biosensors to digital medicine. For more information, please visit:
