Published in SCIENCE: What are the Physical Hallmarks of Cancer?
New review paper focused on the physical abnormalities of tumors
Assistant Professor Hadi Nia (BME, MSE) has published a first-authored review paper in SCIENCE on the physical traits of cancer. As part of his last postdoctoral work, this review introduces a new paradigm on framing the physical abnormalities of tumors into four hallmarks. Previously, the biological hallmarks of cancer have been introduced by Bob Weinberg and Dog Hannahan in two landmark reviews in CELL in 2000 and 2011, each cited about 40,000 times.
