They are the same product, team, and company but with refreshed branding. The SciShield name embodies their mission to provide enterprise solutions required to maintain safe and productive campuses.\u00a0 Boston University uses SciShield (formerly BioRAFT), a research management platform, to manage training compliance, inspections, chemical inventory,\u00a0 hazardous waste pickups, radiological permit registrations, and a variety of other functions.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the rebranding, our bu.bioraft.com instance will automatically redirect to bu.scishield.com . You may still access the application using either URL.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_2 et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<ul>\n<li>The platform will be down for 1 hour on<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong><span>07\/19\/2024 <\/span><\/strong>for the transition.<\/li>\n<li><span><strong>No action is needed from you!<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li>After the rebranding, all mentions of \u201cBioRAFT\u201d will be changed to \u201cSciShield\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Any \u201cbu.bioraft.com\u201d will automatically be redirected to \u201cbu.scishield.com\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_4 et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<h1>Frequently Asked Questions<\/h1>\n<h3><em>When is the transition?<\/em><\/h3>\n<p>Boston University transition to SciShield is scheduled on 07\/19\/2024 from 9-10am EST.<\/p>\n<h3><em>What will change?<\/em><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>No impact on end users who use the platform.<\/li>\n<li>All mentions of BioRAFT will be changed to SciShield.<\/li>\n<li>Automated notifications will send from @SciShield.com email addresses instead of the @bioraft.com email addresses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><em>Will users still be able to access the updated site if they navigate to the previous BioRAFT.com link?<\/em><\/h3>\n<p>Yes. Any links that contain the BioRAFT domain in the URL will still work and will automatically redirect users to the corresponding SciShield URL.
