His research focuses on Unemployment Insurance (UI) and its optimal design using different funding sources. He is also interested in the interaction between UI and retirement systems.\u00a0He holds an MA in Political Economy from Boston University, and both a BA and an MSc in Economics from the University of Chile.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Advisors:\u00a0<\/strong> Johannes F.
