He is a macroeconomist\u00a0who studies the determinants of economic growth in some of the world\u2019s least developed regions. Much of his research is inspired by his experience working as the lead academic for the International Growth Centre in Ghana. He has served as an editor of the\u00a0<i>Review of Economic Dynamics<\/i>\u00a0and the\u00a0<i>Journal of Development Economics\u00a0<\/i>and is currently a research affiliate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and Centre for Economic Policy Research.
