Professor <strong>Pankaj Tandon<\/strong> said: \u201cBeyond his solid good grades I feel Teerapat is one of the best students in all the years I have been teaching Microeconomics (EC501).\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yiming <\/strong>and<strong> Guangzhi<\/strong> were awarded a joint prize for their research paper \u201cThe Effect of the Poverty-County Transfer Program in China.\u201d It was written\u00a0 for Development Theory and Policy (EC521) with Professor <strong>John Harris<\/strong>, who rated it as \u201cthe best single paper that has been produced by EC521 students in recent years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to these 3 outstanding students! <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/econ\/files\/2015\/06\/BU-Econ-News-2015-WEB-hi-res.pdf\">Read more about this year\u2019s achievements in the department newsletter.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(L-R: Guangzhi Ye, Yiming Cao, Teerapat Jirasirikul) This year&#8217;s winners of the MA Prize for Academic Excellence were Teerapat Jirasirikul (MA \u201916), and Yiming Cao (MA \u201916) and Guangzhi Ye (MA \u201916).
