As summer gives way to fall, we are excited to welcome a new class of master\u2019s students, full of hope and fresh inspiration. We would also like to harken back to the beginning of the summer and celebrate our glorious graduates of 2025.<\/p>\n

GEA Reps and Welcome Back Party for Graduate Students, AY 2025-2026<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

The Graduate Economics Association Welcome Back Party was held on Wednesday, September 10th, from 5-7 pm at the George Sherman Union Terrace lounge and patio. This fall, Bhimraj Bhuller<\/strong> joined Eunji Park<\/strong> as a Representative for Master\u2019s Students on the board of the GEA.<\/p>\n

Prizes for Academic Excellence and Outstanding Service in the Economics Master\u2019s Program, AY 2024-2025<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

The Economics master\u2019s classes of 2024 and 2025 certainly stood tall in academic excellence. Despite their smaller numbers, the master\u2019s programs continued to produce a steady stream of outstanding scholars, and many successful doctoral, pre-doctoral, and professional placements. These two years were also blessed by an exceptionally vibrant spirit of camaraderie and community. Master\u2019s students have enjoyed an energetic program of extracurricular activities; and lasting personal friendships were formed that cut across all national and linguistic boundaries, educational and professional backgrounds, cultures and characters.<\/p>\n

Three graduates of 2025 \u2013 David Klein<\/strong>, Rosa He<\/strong>, and Eric Zhang<\/strong> \u2013 have been awarded the Prizes for Academic Excellence and Outstanding Service in the Economics Master\u2019s Program, <\/strong>to recognize and celebrate not only their individual attainments but also their contributions to the greater good of the master’s community.<\/p>\n
