3rd and 4th Year PhD Women’s Workshop<\/h3>\n

Fall 2020<\/b>
\nOn October 3rd, 2020, WEorg organized a virtual mentorship workshop for third- and fourth-year female Ph.D. students from the greater New England area. Following up on the WERISE conference, the chairs of WEorg decided to move from words — rigorous research and constructive discussion — to action by creating an opportunity for female students to receive feedback from female faculty members in their field.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event was a success! We had fifty-one mentees, twenty-one mentors, and eight panelists from twenty-nine universities and institutions across the northeast region. In the morning, mentees received group and individual feedback from mentors. In the afternoon, Linh T\u00f4 and Stefania Garetto moderated two panels on research challenges and career opportunities, respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n
