PhD Candidate

Fields: Macroeconomics, International Economics, and Industrial Organization

Franco Maldonado Carlin is currently a third year student in the PhD program interested in macroeconomics, international economics and industrial organization. Franco was born and raised in Peru, where he completed an undergraduate and master’s degrees in economics. He also has an MA in economics from BU. Before coming to Boston, Franco worked in the Peruvian Ministry of Economy and Finance, where he was involved in the analysis and development of trade and regulatory public policies and was part of the negotiation team of several free trade agreements.
