Economic Research Activities

Research is central to Boston University. Here in the Economics Department, our faculty are researching topics like global warming, the effects of religious institutions on growth in developing countries, the relationship between race and homeownership in the US, credit risk and the Euro, healthcare innovation, and the effects of automation on employment in the US. In addition, the department is directly affiliated with the Institute for Economic Development (IED) – an institute dedicated to understanding economic transformation in developing countries.
