Students majoring in Earth & Environmental Sciences or Environmental Analysis & Policy have the opportunity to earn both a BA and an MS degree through a single coherent plan of study. The BA-to-MS program combines advanced undergraduate and graduate coursework, equipping students with the foundational knowledge and advanced analytical skills necessary for careers in the energy and environmental sectors. Graduates of the program pursue careers with government agencies, consulting firms, and nonprofits, including Critigen, GP Energy Management, HealthDrive, the Institute for Global Sustainability<\/a>, Power Advisory LLC, TrueLight Energy, the US Environmental Protection Agency, and many others.<\/p>\n This program generally allows students to receive both a BA and MS in five years or less. Students are able to apply up to 8 credits from their bachelor’s degree towards their master’s degree. Successful completion of a Bachelor\u2019s-to-Master\u2019s Program may lead to enhanced career employment opportunities, professional training, or doctoral studies.<\/p>\n Typically, students apply to the Bachelor\u2019s-to-Master\u2019s Program during their junior year of study.<\/strong><\/p>\n While the student is enrolled as an undergraduate, financial aid cannot be used toward graduate-level courses unless they also count toward undergraduate degree requirements.<\/p>\n Bachelor\u2019s-to-Master\u2019s in Remote Sensing & Geospatial Sciences<\/a><\/p>\n Bachelor\u2019s-to-Master\u2019s in Energy & Environmental Analysis<\/a><\/p>\n Students must complete all of the requirements for the\u00a0<\/span>BA in Earth & Environmental Sciences<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>BA in Environmental Analysis & Policy<\/span><\/a> prior to beginning an MS degree.<\/p>\n Students may apply up to 8 units from their undergraduate degree toward the MS.<\/p>\n Graduate courses must be completed with a grade of B\u2013 or better.
