If you partook in a Summer Send Off event this August, you received a list of what you can and cannot bring to campus. For those of you who lost the list, or who didn’t have the chance to attend, here is the list. Housing also makes the list available on their website.<\/a>

\n Things to Bring to BU<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\tAlarm Clock
\n\u2022\tExtra Long Sheets and Quilt\/Comforter – University beds are 80\u201d long. Look for \u201cTwin Extra-Long\u201d sheets available at most department and discount stores. <\/em>
\n\u2022\tMattress Cover
\n\u2022\tExtension Cord and Surge Protector
\n\u2022\tFan
\n\u2022\tMetal Wastebasket
\n\u2022\tHangers
\n\u2022\tA cup or mug, plate, bowl, fork, knife, and spoon \u2013 Make sure they are microwave safe!<\/em>
\n\u2022\tFlashlight with extra batteries
\n\u2022\tA dry-erase board for the exterior of your room door
\nStudy Tools
\n\u2022\tComputer and related accessories \u2013 There are several computer labs on campus with computers and printers for your use as well.<\/em>
\n\u2022\tHighlighters, Pens, Pencils, Paper, Notebooks, Loose Notebook Paper, Binders, Post-It Notes, Paper Clips, Scissors, Tape, Stapler, Binder Clips

\u2022\tShower Shoes \u2013 \u201cFlip-flops\u201d will work fine
\n\u2022\tBathroom bucket\/basket
\n\u2022\tToothbrush, Toothpaste, Shampoo, Soap, and other Toiletries<\/p>\n

\n\u2022\tLaundry Bag, Detergent, Fabric Sheets, Quarters for Laundry<\/p>\n

\u2022\t\u201cHusband\u201d pillow \u2013 A long pillow that can be used as a back rest when sitting on your bed<\/em>.
\n\u2022\tDecorations \u2013 Even though you\u2019ll find poster sales both on- and off-campus, be sure to bring photos, wall calendars and other mementos to make your room feel like home.<\/em>
\n\u2022\tAdhesive putty or poster strips \u2013 You\u2019ll need to take care when tacking up posters to room walls not to damage the paint or finish. Because you may not use nails or screws \u2015 and duct tape and masking tape tend to remove paint \u2015 using adhesive putty is your best option.<\/em>
\n\u2022\tRefrigerators \u2013 Small refrigerators of not more than four (4) cubic feet) are allowed in the residences. Microfridges, which come with a microwave, refrigerator and freezer are available for rent from BU\u2019s Vending Services.
