This event is done in partnership with the New England Conservatory and the City of Boston.<\/p>\n<p>This virtual event will take place on Monday, Jan. 17, at 2 p.m. The event will run approx. 90 minutes. Attendees can watch the live stream below, starting at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 17. Live portions of the program will be\u00a0delivered in a manner that follows public health\u00a0guidance and individual location protocols.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Occasion<br \/>\n<\/strong>Martin Luther King, Jr. wrote \u201cWhere Do We Go from Here: Chaos or Community?\u201d during a critical time of leadership transition within the global societies and the American Black liberation struggle.\u00a0 In the book, Dr. King reaffirmed a certain vision for common ground.\u00a0 This year, we use the title of this 1967 book as our theme.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Featured Conversations<br \/>\n<\/strong><u>Saida Grundy<\/u> is a feminist sociologist of race &amp; ethnicity and Assistant Professor of Sociology, African-American Studies and Women\u2019s and Gender Studies at Boston University. Her research to date has focused upon formations and ideologies of gender and racialization within the Black middle class\u2013specifically men. Her current book,\u00a0<em>Manhood Within the Margins: Promise, Peril and Paradox at the Historically Black College for Men,\u00a0<\/em>is forthcoming with University of California Press.<\/p>\n<p><u>Tanisha Sullivan, Esq.<\/u> is a Brockton-raised lawyer and former Boston Public Schools chief equity officer, and is the current President of the NAACP Boston Branch. Sullivan\u2019s work as an attorney has included involvement in the Economic Justice Project and Lawyers\u2019 Committee for Civil Rights, where she helped entrepreneurs with issues related to forming and growing businesses.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Speakers<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Robert A.
