Friday Night Dance Party, Live from the Grand<\/a><\/h4>\n

Friday, May 15, 2020, 10 pm \u2013 1 am<\/em><\/p>\n

Live from the Grand nightclub in Boston, and MC\u2019d by Dean Elmore, we\u2019re going to dance the night away right from your living room. That\u2019s right \u2013 we\u2019re working with the Grand nightclub in Boston and bringing the dancing to you. The Grand will have a live DJ, light show, and dancers all for BU students! We\u2019ll even have virtual club rooms you can meet your friends in so you can dance and be together during the party. Providing your own club lighting and decorations for the camera are highly encouraged! Toast to the Class of 2020<\/h4>\n

Sunday, May 17, 2020, 1pm<\/em><\/p>\n

On Sunday, May 17, 2020 at 1pm EST we hope the graduates, family, friends and guests join us as we have an online gathering to Toast the Class of 2020<\/strong>. Robert Pinsky, CAS Professor and former Poet Laureate of the United States, will share poetry, and Mois\u00e8s Fern\u00e1ndez Via from CFA will share music for the class. We will also reflect upon what Boston University means to us, and the inspiration it has and will continue to give us. Join us live at 1pm or watch the archive.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

The Alumni Association has a means for you to step on the BU Seal if you want to before you return to campus. Learn what they have planned here<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Class of 2020 \u2013 Senior Breakfast and Celebration<\/h3>\n

May 1, 2020<\/em><\/p>\n

Senior Breakfast is a BU tradition that predates the George Sherman Union, Warren Towers, and Walter Brown Arena. Its exact year of origin is unknown, but we do have photos from 1952 and 1953 Senior Breakfasts that show it dates back at least that far. In those days, the event was held on Marsh Plaza and alumni were invited. (No, we don\u2019t know what they did if it rained.)<\/p>\n

As in original versions of this event, each year we celebrate the senior class and the achievements of its members. Also, we announce the news everyone has been waiting for: the Commencement and convocation speakers.<\/p>\n
