Impacts of Immigration Series: US Border Practices, Trauma, and Witness

The “Trauma and Theology” and “Transitional Justice and Reconciliation: Healing Collective Wounds” courses at STH will host a conversation about the family separation practices taking place at the US/ Mexico border. Laura Rambikur, BU-alum and Adjunct Instructor at BUSTH, will present her work with tribal communities of Arizona who are deeply impacted by US immigration practices and, most recently by the family detention practices on the Arizona-Mexico border. Laura is a Clinical Social Worker at Gila River Health Care in Arizona, which provides medical care and behavioral health services for Native American Communities.
