Join us online on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at 12:00 p.m. ET as Dr. Cheryl Boots (GRS '94, GRS '00, STH '14), Senior Lecturer of Humanities, CGS, gives us a preview of her upcoming book on the songs from the Southern Freedom Movement in the US. Using sound clips of Freedom Songs, Dr. Boots will tell stories of activists to explain the importance of community building through singing in Birmingham, Selma, and Montgomery.
