If you experience or witness discrimination, harassment, bias, or a violation of University policy, among other issues, below is a list of resources to which you can turn. You can find all of the University\u2019s policies on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/policies\/\">Boston University Policies website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\" bu-callout aligncenter\"><\/p>\n<h3>Reporting Bias Incidents<\/h3>\n<p>At Boston University, bias incidents that happen between individuals are typically reported at the unit level. The University Ombuds can provide a confidential space in which to discuss the multiple means by which the issue can be addressed.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To students, we recommend contacting the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/diversity\/our-communities\/di-teams-around-bu\/\">D&amp;I team member listed for your school\/college<\/a> for direction and support. If the school\/college does not have a Diversity &amp; Inclusion team member, we recommend contacting the office of the dean for guidance.<\/li>\n<li>For employees, among the pathways to reporting and\/or addressing bias incidents are: talking with one\u2019s manager, engaging the Office of the Ombuds, speaking with a Human Resources representative, reporting serious incidents through the University\u2019s confidential mechanism, <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.ethicspoint.com\/domain\/media\/en\/gui\/8779\/index.html\">Ethics Point<\/a>, and, in cases where the employee believes that bias has become discrimination, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/eoo\/\">the Equal Opportunity Office<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n<h2>Mental Health<\/h2>\n<p>A staff of psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical nurse specialists, licensed mental health clinicians, and clinical social workers is well-versed in the issues that can crop up in an academic environment.<\/p>\n<div class=\"button\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/shs\/mental-health\/\">Visit Site<\/a><\/div>\n<h2>Boston University Police Department<\/h2>\n<p>The Boston University Police Department is a full-time, professional law enforcement agency that provides a wide variety of public services, including alarms, emergency medical assistance, investigating suspicious circumstances, and responding to and investigating criminal matters.<\/p>\n<div class=\"button\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/police\/\">Visit Site<\/a><\/div>\n<h2>Boston University Title IX Team<\/h2>\n<p>Title IX was created to prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex\u2014including sex-based violence\u2014in any\u00a0federally funded education\u00a0program or activity.
