Learn More Together Grants

Learn More Series programs often spark further conversation and discussion that extends beyond a single event. To encourage ongoing, organic learning, BU D&I is proud to offer Learn More Together Grants to provide funds to groups of up to ten BU students, faculty, or staff to create Learn More Together Communities (LMTC). Applicants may request up to $1,000 in funding to be used during the grant period.

These groups are self-defined, self-motivated, and self-driven and will create their own curriculum that matches their needs as a group and dives deeper into the annual Learn More Series topic. An LMTC’s curriculum may include exploring and processing new books and articles, viewing videos and films, and/or learning through peer mentorship and discussion.

BU staff members will lead staff LMTCs, faculty will lead faculty LMTCs, and students will lead students LMTCs. Meetings can happen virtually or in person according to the group internal definition. LMTC Leaders will attend an orientation in the fall semester and will work closely with the BU D&I team, checking in semesterly. At the end of the academic year, Leaders will be invited to share reflections in a format yet to be determined.
