Staff and Faculty Extend Boston University Disability Support (SAFEBUDS)
We hope to empower faculty and staff with disabilities at Boston University to advocate together as a community for resources, information, and support. Connect with Staff and Faculty Extend Boston University Disability Support, aka SAFEBUDS on Instagram (@bu_safebuds) and Facebook (@BUSafebuds).
Katie Meyer is a PhD student in Educational Studies in Special Education.
Megan Sullivan is Associate Professor of Rhetoric at the College of General Studies (CGS) and Assistant Provost for Academic Assessment ad interim in the Office of the Provost. In part because she was ill as a child, and in part because she has family members and loved ones who have disabilities, Megan has always sought to educate others about ableism and disability rights. She is honored to become part of the SAFEBUDS leadership team, because she admires the work the group is doing, and because she wants to encourage family members and allies to help create the most welcoming BU community possible.
