Amber Woods
Administrative Project Manager
Amber joined the Office of the Senior Diversity Officer in December 2020. She oversees the OSDO’s administrative operations, budget, events, committee logistics, and SDO special projects and initiatives.
Amber started her journey at Boston University in 2018 as the Development & Alumni Relations Coordinator for Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. While in that position, she served as co-chair of the Development & Alumni Relations Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and the vice chair for BU Wheelock’s Staff Assembly.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at Gordon College in 2018 and is currently an Ed.M. candidate in the Educational Policy and Leadership Studies Program at Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. Before her career in higher education, she spent time as a community organizer, developing social justice curricula and pedagogy that could be used as a vehicle of change for youth-led causes. Outside of work, you can find her browsing through local art galleries, tending to her 30+ house plants, or spending her entire paycheck at local restaurants in Boston.
