Impactful procedures to reduce energy consumption, utilize energy-efficient cooking and storage equipment, reducing water use, and modeling behaviors, BU Dining continues to foster methods such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leveraging best practices identified by the Green Restaurant Association and earning certification.\n<ul>\n<li>The George Sherman Union Food Hall, Fuller&#8217;s Pub, Granby Commons, Marciano Commons, Warren Towers, and West Campus are all Certified Green Restaurants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Grant preferential priority to sourcing Energy-Star production, storage, and cleaning equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Use low-flow sinks and nozzles.<\/li>\n<li>Use compostable or recyclable packaging.<\/li>\n<li>Use only Green Seal-certified napkins made of 100% recycled content in all dining halls, catering, and retail locations.<\/li>\n<li>Purchase only Green Seal-certified cleaning supplies and dish detergents<\/li>\n<li>Use office paper of at least 50% recycled content.<\/li>\n<li>Certify Dining Services\u2019 offices through BU Sustainability\u2019s <u><a href=\"http:\/\/bu.edu\/sustainability\/campus-resources\/green-office\">Green Office Program<\/a><\/u>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Less Energy.
