Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He graduated with a dental degree from Damascus University, Syria, and then completed his DMD training through the Advanced Standing program at GSDM. He is a 2003 graduate of the Boston University OMS training program.\u00a0 Dr. Batal joined the full-time faculty in 2003 when he was appointed Clinical Director of the Oral &amp; Maxillofacial Surgery outpatient clinic at BMC. He has also held the position of Director of the one-year preliminary Internship program from 2004\u20132011 and currently is the\u00a0 Director of the oms Faculty Practice.\u00a0 Dr. Batal\u2019s interests include hard and soft-tissue implant surgery.\u00a0 He is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Batal is extensively published in dental literature and is involved in clinical research in the field of implant surgery.
