{"id":12777,"date":"2006-12-22T15:39:10","date_gmt":"2006-12-22T20:39:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/dental\/2006\/12\/22\/excel-students-get-set-for-busdm\/"},"modified":"2012-07-29T00:38:05","modified_gmt":"2012-07-29T04:38:05","slug":"excel-students-get-set-for-busdm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/dental\/2006\/12\/22\/excel-students-get-set-for-busdm\/","title":{"rendered":"EXCEL Students Get Set for BUSDM"},"content":{"rendered":"<img src=\"\/dental\/files\/news-cms\/photos\/untitled-122.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"alignright\" \/>\n<p>Twenty-five students in  BUSDM&#8217;s <a target=\"_blank\" title=\"http:\/\/dentalschool.bu.edu\/bulletin\/DMD\/excel.html\" href=\"http:\/\/dentalschool.bu.edu\/bulletin\/DMD\/excel.html\">EXCEL program<\/a> attended a review with Dr.  Elizabeth Whitney, research associate at BUSM, following a final exam in  anatomical sciences July 25. <\/p>\n<p>The students, 22 of whom  will enter BUSDM this year, took the introductory class with Dr. Whitney, who  is the course director for the anatomical sciences class during the fall  semester. The EXCEL session in anatomical sciences focused on the head and  neck, while students in the fall session will study all areas of the body. <br \/>   EXCEL students joined  BUSDM alumni, staff, and faculty for a social night of bowling and pool at <a target=\"_blank\" title=\"http:\/\/jilliansboston.com\/\" href=\"http:\/\/jilliansboston.com\/\">Jillian&#8217;s Boston<\/a> July 12. <\/p>\n<p>Michael Russo Pauk  claimed the title of top bowler with 141 points, followed by Jason Conn with 137 points and  Kevin Nietzer with 132 points. <\/p>\n<p>EXCEL students will  attend orientation July 31 through August 4 and begin fall classes August 7. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Twenty-five students in BUSDM&#8217;s EXCEL program attended a review with Dr. Elizabeth Whitney, research associate at BUSM, following a final exam in anatomical sciences July 25.
