The meeting was held February 21 &#8211; 22, 2008 in Chicago, Illinois.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"text\">The title of Dr. Fahmi&#8217;s poster was, Effect of Surface  Treatment on Porcelain Bond Strength to Zirconia. The objective of his research  for this poster was to assess the influence of grinding and heat treatment on  the shear bond strength of a veneering porcelain to yttria partially stabilized  zirconia (a type of ceramic material). After completing the research, Dr. Fahmi  concluded that surface finish and heat treatment have a significant effect on  bond strength of veneering porcelain to yttria partially stabilized zirconia.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"text\">&quot;It is an honor for The American Prosthodontic Society  to recognize my work with this award,&quot; said Dr. Fahmi.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"text\">Based on the positive response to his research, he is  currently working on another project titled, Thermal Shock of Porcelain Veneered  Zirconia with Various Surface Treatments, that he hopes to present at an  upcoming dental meeting. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Mohammed Fahmi PROS 10 received the second place poster presentation award at the 80th Annual Meeting of The American Prosthodontic Society.
