    1) Consultation Appointment<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

    After we receive the referral from your dentists, we\u2019ll schedule a 45-minute consultation appointment<\/strong>. During this initial appointment, we\u2019ll complete a detailed examination and take radiographs of your teeth to determine the exact nature of the problem. A 3D Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) may be required.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    2) Treatment Options<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

    We will then formulate and discuss with you your treatment options. We may also communicate with your referring dentist or physician if there are any concerns or questions. Depending on the complexity of the treatment, you may need to attend multiple treatment appointments.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    We will make every effort to minimize any discomfort during the procedure. There may be some post-operative discomfort, but we give you guidance on how to manage it.<\/p>\n

    What if I have an urgent treatment question after procedure?<\/strong><\/h3>

    If you are a patient of record, then our on-call resident can answer and address your urgent treatment concerns, including after hours. If you are not a patient of record, or for appointment or billing issues, our staff will assist you during office hours.<\/p>\n

    How can I receive endodontic treatment at BU Dental?<\/strong><\/h3>

    We only take patients who are referred by a dentist. We then communicate with your dentist to ensure the best treatment outcome for you. Your dentist can initiate the referral process by clicking the \u201creferral link\u201d at the top of this web page.<\/p>\n
