This will be achieved through participation in post-doctoral periodontic didactic courses and observation of periodontic dental care. The knowledge learned during the Preceptorship will provide the information and skills needed for the participants to further their education and continue their lifelong journey of learning.<\/p>\n<p><span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><strong>Program Design\/Objectives<\/strong><\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\">\n<p>The program is comprised of didactic seminars and clinical observation. The didactic seminars follow the schedule of the post-doctoral Periodontic Residents. When not in attendance of didactic lectures, participants will partake in clinical observation in the post-doctoral periodontic dental clinic.<\/p>\n<p><span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><strong>Criteria for Selection<\/strong><\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Educational background and previous training in dentistry, demonstrated by a degree in dental medicine from a domestic or foreign institution.<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to improve periodontic didactic and clinical knowledge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><strong>Schedule<\/strong><\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>This program is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, for one month.<\/li>\n<li>The program will run 3 times each calendar year.<\/li>\n<li>The program will be held in March, July, and October.<\/li>\n<li>Participants will be allowed 2 sick days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><strong>Course Components\/Disciplines<\/strong><\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\">\n<p><strong>PERIODONTIC DIDACTIC LECTURES<br \/>\n<\/strong>Participants will follow the didactic schedule of the post-doctoral Periodontic Residents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PATIENT CARE OBSERVATION<br \/>\n<\/strong>Participants observe the post-doctoral Periodontic Clinic at Boston University Henry M. Include your curriculum vitae and verified copies of your transcripts from ECE, and dental school diploma.<\/li>\n<li>Payment of a non-refundable application fee of $100 U.S. (send in with application).<\/li>\n<li>Visas will not be provided for this program.<\/li>\n<li><span>It is strongly recommended to have a TOEFL score of 90 (or 4.5 based on the new scoring system) or above to attend this program.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Attend a personal interview or phone interview.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Additional Requirements upon Acceptance<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Submit immunization records, including TB test results from within 3 months prior to the start of the Preceptorship. Forms must be submitted 6 weeks prior to the start of the program and participants may not start the program until they have been cleared by Occupational Health.<\/li>\n<li>Completion of ID\/ISSO paperwork.<\/li>\n<li>Completion of HIPAA and Infection Control training.<\/li>\n<li>Pay a non-refundable deposit of $1,000 U.S. within 14 days of notification of acceptance.<\/li>\n<li>Full tuition is due 14 days prior to the start of the program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><strong>Tuition<\/strong><\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\">\n<p>The tuition for the Periodontic Preceptorship is $5,000 for the one (1) month program. Casual professional clothes or scrubs may be worn during lectures.<\/p>\n<p>Participants must wear their ID badge at all times.
