Goldman School of Dental Medicine offers a four-year <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/dental\/admissions\/dmd\/\">Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program<\/a> and a two-year <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/dental\/admissions\/as\/\">Advanced Standing program<\/a> for internationally trained dentists. We also offer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/dental\/admissions\/postdoc\/\">advanced certificates and degrees<\/a> in all recognized specialties. Today our School is on a trajectory of growth with a faculty of more than 325 educators, clinicians, and researchers. More than 700 students are currently enrolled in our pre-doctoral and post-doctoral programs.<\/p>\n<h3>For patients: excellent, affordable dental care<\/h3>\n<p>For patients, we offer a complete program of dental services with an emphasis on preventative and restorative dentistry. You\u2019ll benefit from the latest research in dental techniques and equipment while receiving care in a comfortable, cheerful environment. We have the capacity for treating patients with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Patients with basic dental needs such as prophylaxis (cleanings), direct restorations (filings), small-span bridges and single crowns, simple periodontal care (gums), and most full and partial dentures are seen in the Pre-Doctoral Patient Treatment Center, where dental students provide quality care at a minimal fee under the supervision of faculty dentists.<\/p>\n<p>If you require more involved treatment, such as advanced restorative work, extensive periodontal treatment, orthodontics, root canal therapy, oral surgery, or complex crown and bridge work, you may be treated in one of our specialty areas. These specialty departments are staffed by graduate dentists, many of whom have years of experience and are continuing their studies.
