Patricia Castillo

Instructor of Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Pat Castillo is a Board Eligible Pediatric Dentist and works as a Clinical Instructor of Pediatric Dentistry at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. She received her first dental degree from the University of Colombia in South America, then moved to the United States to advance her dental career. Dr. Castillo pursued a residency program in pediatric dentistry and received her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) in pediatric dentistry at Tufts University, followed by one year of fellowship experience at the same University. The fellowship solidified her orthodontic understanding and hand skills in treating malocclusions during early mixed dentition with phase I orthodontic treatment.

Dr. Castillo completed her DMD training at Boston University. Upon graduation, Dr. Castillo worked concurrently in private practice and the United States Army, serving in the reserve component and on active duty. She volunteered as a dental provider and traveled with an organization, Healing the Children, which has a multidisciplinary team to care for children with cleft lip and palates in different regions of Colombia. In 2019, she took her experiences and skills to the academic world and joined the faculty team at the Pediatric Dentistry Graduate Residency Program, where she supports dental students and pediatric dentistry residents with their clinical work. Dr. Pat enjoys delivering compassionate dental care to children from birth to 21 years of age.
