Dr. Kady Rawal Hosts GSDM Students For AAWD Hold Summer Meeting

The Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM) chapter of the American Association of Women Dentists (AAWD) held its second-annual summer meeting at the home of GSDM AAWD faculty advisor Dr. Kady Rawal. Dr. Rawal is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Restorative Sciences & Biomaterials.

At the annual summer meeting, events, outreach, budget, and goals are discussed by the GSDM AAWD Executive Committee, and the minutes of the meeting are shared with the rest of the members at the first official board meeting in August.

This was the second year that GSDM AAWD has held this meeting, which gives the newly elected Executive Committee an opportunity to brainstorm in an informal setting and gives Dr. Rawal a chance to learn more about the students’ plans for the chapter.

“It was a fruitful meeting,” said Dr. Rawal.  “The AAWD chapter at GSDM has very enthusiastic new leadership and they have some amazing plans for the upcoming year.”
