Relevant. Human-centric.<\/h4>\n<p>The Digital Business Institute (DBI) is dedicated to tackling real-world challenges at the intersection of technology, business growth, and human experience. From enhancing the lives of consumers and patients to improving outcomes for citizens, our work goes beyond simply adopting new technologies\u2014it\u2019s about leveraging digital innovation to create tangible, meaningful impact.<\/p>\n<p>Our key areas of research include (but are not limited to):<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/dbi\/research\/the-gen-ai-initiative\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Gen AI<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/dbi\/research\/digital-health\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Digital Health<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/dbi\/research\/platform-economy-2\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Digital Platforms<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/dbi\/research\/digital-customer-engagement\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Digital Customer Engagement<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/truthmarket.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">The Platform Governance Research Lab<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Can data science be leveraged to curb fake news without censorship?   This team hopes the answer is yes!  This exciting new initiative is being led by Professors <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/questrom\/profiles\/marshall-van-alstyne\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Marshall Van Alstyne<\/a> , <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/questrom\/profiles\/nina-mazar\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Nina Ma\u017ear<\/a>, and post doc Swapneel Mehta, along with faculty from CDS and CS.  The team advances the governance of digital platforms by developing theories for limiting misleading information and field experiments combining insights from platform governance, behavioral science, digital economics, and artificial intelligence.
