Advanced Year Practicum<\/p>\n
The Albert and Jessie Danielsen Institute at Boston University provides an opportunity for second year MSW students at Boston University’s School of Social Work seeking an advanced field education placement in mental health.\u00a0 The mission of the Danielsen Institute is to alleviate suffering and to promote healing, growth, and change in the persons, communities, and institutions that we serve through research, training, and direct clinical service.\u00a0 The Danielsen Institute Clinic is a multidisciplinary outpatient mental health clinic licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.\u00a0 Our clinical services, including individual, group, and couples psychotherapy, attend to all dimensions of a client\u2019s personhood including spirituality and religious faith should the client so desire.<\/p>\n
Our clinical staff is skilled in providing psychotherapeutic care for issues including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, relationships, work-related problems, trauma, abuse, grief, and religious or spiritual concerns.<\/p>\n
