{"id":1316,"date":"2011-01-13T12:33:44","date_gmt":"2011-01-13T17:33:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cura\/?page_id=1316"},"modified":"2024-06-12T22:00:02","modified_gmt":"2024-06-13T02:00:02","slug":"annual-summer-seminar","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cura\/annual-summer-seminar\/","title":{"rendered":"Annual Summer Seminar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>2010: Globalizing Religions: Conflict or Conflict Resolution?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Institute on Culture, Religion, and World Affairs (CURA) at Boston University conducted an annual summer seminar.\u00a0It was organized by the well-known sociologist of religion Peter L. Berger, and\u00a0co-sponsored with the School of Theology of Boston University, under the guidance of Dean John Berthrong.\u00a0 The seminar was generously funded by the Henry Luce Foundation\u2019s Henry R. Initiative on Religion and International Affairs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The program was an intensive two-week seminar on special topics in religion and world affairs.\u00a0 The 2010 program was the last program funded.
