Finding Religion: Reconsidering Concepts and Methods for Studying Religion

A Conference

While past research has focused on treating religions as systems of belief that are consistent, organized, bounded, and hierarchical, the best work has disaggregated religion, studying the many diverse elements that make up religions. This conference explores best practices for studying religion in political science today and what political scientists can learn from the methods used to study religion in other disciplines.
