Do you have a breakthrough idea that could extend the human healthspan? Submit a 2-page application to be considered for an award worth $50,000!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The National Academy of Medicine (NAM) will accept applications for the NAM Healthy Longevity Catalyst Awards<\/a> from January 13 through February 24, 2020, through the website of the American Federation for Aging Research.<\/p>\n

Individuals and teams residing in the United States are invited to submit 2-page applications detailing bold, innovative, and potentially transformative ideas to improve the mental, physical, and social well-being of people as they age.<\/strong> The competition is open to innovators from all backgrounds, and ideas may focus on any stage of life, as long as they ultimately promote health as people age.<\/p>\n

In addition to the $50,000 cash prize, awards include travel to the 2021 Innovator Summit<\/a> in Washington, DC, where awardees will network with policy makers, potential investors, and fellow innovators from around the world.<\/p>\n

Join the global movement to extend the human healthspan by accelerating research, innovation, and entrepreneurism.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The NAM Healthy Longevity Catalyst Awards are part of the Healthy Longevity Global Competition<\/a>. Launched in October 2019 by the NAM and global collaborators representing over 40 countries and territories, the goal of this multiyear, multi-million-dollar international competition is to accelerate breakthroughs in healthy longevity through a series of monetary awards and prizes. Ultimately, one or more Grand Prizes<\/a> of up to $5 million<\/strong> will be awarded for the achievement of a transformative innovation.<\/p>\n

The NAM Healthy Longevity Catalyst Awards are funded by Johnson & Johnson Innovation (JJI). Awardees will be considered for additional support from JJI in later phases<\/a> of the competition.<\/p>\n
