In her doctoral research, she studied the outcomes of vertebral trabecular bone adaptation to the effects of aging and osteoporosis. Through this work, Dr. Hussein has established an expertise in the use of mechanical testing and micro-computed tomography in the assessment of bone strength and bone morphometry.
