The RNT also helps to educate research teams about the many BU CTSI resources which include tools and services for researchers to maximize the impact of discoveries and speed the translation of research into improved patient care and population health.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #333; line-height: 1.6;\">The RNT works collaboratively across all BU CTSI Programs, including close collaboration with the General Clinical Research Clinic (GCRU). The GCRU provides assistance with protocol implementation offered by experienced research staff (Registered Nurses, Research Assistants, and Phlebotomists) to conduct research activities both within and outside of the GCRU. The RNT works closely with the BU\/BMC regulatory and compliance offices, such as the OHRA, CRRO, CTO, and IRB, to foster tailored consultations for translational science researchers and their teams.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #e0f8f2; padding: 20px; border-left: 6px solid #f57c00; margin-top: 20px; border-radius: 8px;\">\n<h3 style=\"margin-top: 0; color: ##83224f;\"><strong><span>Research Support Services Provided by the RNT<\/span>:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul style=\"line-height: 1.8; font-size: 16px; color: #444;\">\n<li><strong>Assistance with IRB applications and submissions<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Biostatistics and data management &amp; study design<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Recruitment retention assistance including consultations to optimize recruitment plans, staff training to enhance recruitment success, and help integrating the community into research studies.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Identification of experienced research staff to facilitate rapid study start-up, drawing on GCRU staff, the RNT, and the Research Job Connection<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Guidance with mandatory regulatory requirements for clinical studies<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Development of Data Safety Monitoring Plans (DSMP)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Help with FDA Interactions and submissions<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Assistance with research laboratory testing<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Advocate for researchers and study coordinators<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Identify resources for the timely and successful completion of research projects<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Refer investigators to appropriate clinical research services\/cores and tools<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Promote institutional policies and best practices<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<ul style=\"line-height: 1.8; font-size: 16px; color: #333;\"><\/ul>\n<p><!-- Dropdown for Team Info --><\/p>\n<details style=\"margin-top: 10px; border: 1px solid #ccc; border-radius: 6px; background-color: #ffffff;\">\n<summary style=\"padding: 12px; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; color: #8b0000; cursor: pointer;\">Meet the BU CTSI Research Navigator Team (RNT)<\/summary>\n<div style=\"padding: 20px;\">\n<h4>Leadership and Administration<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"color: #993366;\">Ridiane Denis, BS, RN, MD<\/span> &#8211; <\/em><\/strong>Director of Clinical Research and Operations, GCRU<\/p>\n<p>Works collaboratively with the RNT and offers guidance regarding services provided by the GCRU and the BU CTSI Research Job Connection (RJC). Working closely with the SRN, Dr. Denis reviews requests received from investigators and study teams interested in using the GCRU. She, along with the SRN, will determine when a request needs to be referred to regulatory or compliance office; or another BU CTSI program, such as Community Engagement, Recruitment or Special Populations. She makes suggestions for matching research staff to study teams through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/ctsi\/support-for-research\/research-job-connection\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Research Job Connection (RJC)<\/a> and provides guidance during the hiring process.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"color: #993366;\">Daniel Mompoint, MA<\/span> &#8211; <\/em><\/strong>Research Navigator (RN)<\/p>\n<p>Daniel is multi-lingual, speaking English, French, Spanish, and Haitian Creole and has a strong background in all aspects of clinical research and clinical research administration. As an RN, he assists study teams in connecting with experts and understanding processes and best practices for conducting research at BU\/BMC. Provides operational support to these studies including EPIC screening and data entry. Assists in the development of SOP&#8217;s, INSPIR submissions and all other aspects of clinical studies. As a member of the RNT, Daniel also provides assistance with interpretation of study related materials and other specific study needs<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"color: #993366;\">Nino Zachariah, MSRA<\/span> &#8211; <\/em><\/strong>Quality Assurance Quality Control Coordinator<\/p>\n<p>Working closely with and guided by the Senior Research Navigator, Nino helps to prioritize requests for RNT support and serve as a liaison with study teams to ensure they received the appropriate services and that requests are addressed in a timely manner.
