Impact Evaluation Using the Translational Science Benefits Model (TSBM)<\/h2>\n

Tracking Health and Societal Impacts of CTSI Programs<\/h4>\n

The Translational Science Benefits Model (TSBM)<\/a>, developed by Washington University in St. Louis, provides a valuable framework for documenting translational science health and societal impacts catalyzed from CTSAs. We utilize the TSBM to categorize our program\u2019s impacts into the four domains: clinical, community and public health, economic, and policy.<\/p>\n

Our Hub has demonstrated impact in each of the 4 TSBM Domain areas<\/strong>, spread across multiple benefits. Tracking our impact uses a variety of evaluation tools ranging from:<\/p>\n

We use standardized progress reports to monitor the career advancement of CTSI sponsored trainees in drug and biomedical technology development.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Community<\/h3>\n

We track publication metrics and community engagement project outcomes via standardized reports and the Dimensions platform to improve healthcare access and quality.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\"Economic\"<\/p>\n

Economic<\/h3>\n

We track patents and partnerships using Google Patents and internal progress tools to measure the economic impact of CTSI-sponsored initiatives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
