{"id":10240,"date":"2020-12-04T17:34:11","date_gmt":"2020-12-04T22:34:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/ctsi\/?page_id=10240"},"modified":"2025-08-13T10:56:52","modified_gmt":"2025-08-13T14:56:52","slug":"12th-annual-symposium-abstract-submissions","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/ctsi\/events\/bu-ctsi-annual-translational-research-symposium\/the-12th-annual-ctsi-translational-science-symposium\/12th-annual-symposium-abstract-submissions\/","title":{"rendered":"12th Annual Translational Science Symposium &#8211; Abstract Submissions"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Abstract Submission Information<\/h3>\n<h4>Important Notes Regarding Abstract Submission:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em><b><i><span>The deadline for Abstracts for the Symposium is 5:00 pm on Friday, February 7, 2025<\/span><\/i><\/b>.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><span>We encourage a focus on Translational Science, however Abstracts for all areas\/forms of research will be considered for acceptance for the recorded video poster &amp; live presentation event.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Submit Abstract<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please include the following in your uploaded abstract file:\n<ul>\n<li>Abstract Contact Name<span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\"><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Abstract Title<span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\"><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Abstract Primary Author<span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\"><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Abstract Co-Author(s) or N\/A<span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\"><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Affiliation<span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\"><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The abstract text body is limited to 300 words<\/li>\n<li>The abstract must include the following criteria:\n<ul>\n<li>a) Introduction: Background, Objectives of the research, &amp; Hypothesis\n<ul><\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>b) Methods: Provide a brief description of the experimental procedures &amp; methods of data analysis\n<ul><\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>c) Results: Present your findings clearly and concisely\n<ul><\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>d) Conclusions: Discuss impacts of the findings and their future implications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Abstract Selection Timeline<\/h3>\n<h4>Abstract Review and Selection Process:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Abstracts will be reviewed by BU CTSI leadership based on the criteria above.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Notifications of acceptance for recorded video poster &amp; live presentations will be sent by Thursday, February 13, 2025.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>If accepted, participants are expected to:\u00a0 1. Record a video poster presentation due on March 5, 2025 (video recordings will be posted on the BU CTSI website and reviewed by judges), 2. Present at the in-person Poster Session on March 19, 2025 at the <strong><em>Duan Family Center for Computing and Data Sciences<\/em><em>,<\/em><\/strong> 665 Commonwealth Ave, 17th Floor, Boston, MA (Participants will need to print their poster on\u00a0 2 x 3 foot poster board)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>The winners will be announced on March 19, 2025 at the in-person Poster Session<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Awards:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Awards will be presented to exceptional posters <strong><u>with a trainee<\/u><\/strong> as the first author: First Prize: $1,000; Second Prize: $500; Third Prize: $250<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Abstract Submission Information Important Notes Regarding Abstract Submission: The deadline for Abstracts for the Symposium is 5:00 pm on Friday, February 7, 2025.
