The Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL) partners with faculty, staff, and students to cultivate teaching that is inclusive, centered on student learning, and guided by research and practice.  We offer individualized consultations, workshops, seminars, and institutes designed to promote critical reflection and experimentation in teaching. We provide guidance and resources on active learning, student engagement, the purposeful use of educational technologies, and much more. We also support core initiatives across the University such as Inclusive Pedagogy and the Hub, BU’s innovative general education curriculum.

CTL is part of the Provost’s Office and reports jointly to the Office of the Associate Provost for Undergraduate Affairs and to the Office of the Associate Provost for Digital Learning & Innovation, which was established in 2016 to strengthen Boston University’s position as a world-class higher education institution devoted to innovation in teaching and learning.
