Graduated with honors with a BSc in Psychology and a MSc in Neuroscience from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. During her masters, she was awarded a traineeship in the neuropathology of Alzheimer\u2019s disease at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf in Germany. After graduation, she was a research study coordinator in an intensive care unit (ICU) studying disruption of brain connectivity. There, she conducted neuropsychological evaluation and close monitoring of subjects with altered consciousness after traumatic brain injury.
