Jim is a graduate of Boston University and has over 35 years of experience in the computer industry with 25 years working as a Database Administrator utilizing Oracle, Sybase, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. He has also worked as a developer, Unix administrator, and systems designer. He currently is a Manager of Database and Middleware Administration at Subaru of America. Having started his career using punch-cards on an IBM mainframe and now is implementing highly transactional cloud-based databases, his primary research interest is exploring and experimenting with database features and options to understand how they can be used to solve everyday challenges in the industry.<\/p>\n
