First-Year Student Outreach Project (FYSOP)<\/b><\/p>\n
Overview: <\/b>FYSOP inspires first-year students to become active, socially responsible community members. Starting with a day of service in August and continuing through the fall semester with a cohort of peers, participants build friendships and engage in service, education, reflection, and fun. The program helps students understand how intersectionality shapes their community, encourages intentional language around service and social justice, and provides mentor support to develop skills for navigating college and creating strong support systems while fostering a deeper connection to Boston and BU.<\/span><\/p>\n How to Register for FYSOP 2026:<\/b> FYSOP Day of Service on <\/span>Monday, August 31st, 2026.\u00a0<\/b>Also, for those registered for FYSOP, there will be Fall Follow-Up Events <\/b>hosted about once a month to continue the connection with the Outer Boston Community and with Orientation Groups!<\/p>\n If you\u2019re not able to participate in the service day AND\/OR<\/strong> you also <\/span>want to participate more with the Boston Service Community, you can choose one of the following Service Orientation Sessions <\/strong>hosted by the CUBE on <\/span>Friday, August 28, 2026,\u00a0<\/b>which are also available to sign up on Orientation’s website!<\/p>\n Cost:<\/b> Questions?<\/b> Contact us at <\/span>SLICCUBE@BU.EDU; <\/span><\/a>617-358-5160<\/span><\/p>\n or<\/p>\n
