The Chaperone should defer to decisions and plans made by the coordinators, help foster group dynamics, observe ASB and BU rules, and help in emergency situations. Chaperones are responsible for financial transactions and must be full-time, exempt BU employees over 21 years old with a valid US Driver\u2019s License and credit card. Breaks and what does it cover?<\/h5><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><br \/>\nAlternative Service Break costs varies per trip based on travel distance and meals, ranging from $250-$800 All payments are non-refundable. Scholarships are available to students who demonstrate financial need.\u00a0 The program fee covers transportation, housing, meals, materials, and supplies. Fees may differ based on trip type. We ask students to commit to these trips knowing the fee is non-refundable.<br \/>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h5 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">How will volunteers travel?<\/h5><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><br \/>\nVolunteers fly from Boston Logan International Airport or travel via charter bus for closer service sites. Upon arrival, coordinators and chaperones will rent vehicles.<br \/>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h5 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">What will the week schedule look like? Will participants have any free time?<\/h5><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><br \/>\nASB begins with an opening ceremony on the Sunday before the trip. Volunteers do service from Monday to Friday and will have one free day for exploration and activities planned by trip coordinators.<br \/>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h5 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">What will the housing and meal situation look like?<\/h5><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><br \/>\nHousing and meal arrangements vary by trip.
